Our Team
Denise Wyatt
Founder and ManagerDenise (Dee) is the founder of Shoreability and brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience working within the disability and education communities.
Throughout her career, Dee has worked as an Education Assistant in special education and as a Support Worker, providing support to people with a wide range of disabilities and individual needs. Her extensive experience has given her a strong understanding of person-centred support, communication, personal care, daily living assistance, behaviour support and the importance of treating every person with dignity, patience and respect.
Dee holds formal qualifications including a Certificate III in Disability Support, a Certificate 4 in Business Administration, and Certificate 4 in Supporting Education in the Classroom. She has also undertaken specialised training in areas including Autism, Seizure Management, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), and Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD) communication, along with other disability-specific professional development.
Her experience extends across many different support needs, giving Dee the confidence and practical knowledge to provide individualised support while recognising that every participant is unique. She takes the time to understand each person's communication style, routines, preferences, abilities, interests and goals.
With more than two decades of direct experience, combined with formal qualifications and ongoing professional development, Dee brings a depth of knowledge that comes from years of working alongside people with disability, their families and education teams.
For Dee, support is about much more than completing a list of tasks. It is about building genuine relationships, creating trust, encouraging independence and ensuring every participant feels safe, respected, valued and heard.
Through Shoreability, Dee is committed to providing reliable, compassionate and individualised support, backed by the experience, qualifications and genuine care that participants and their families can feel confident in.
DirectorDarren Wyatt
Darren Wyatt is a Director of Shoreability, bringing strong leadership, professional expertise and a genuine commitment to supporting the community.
Darren is a Chartered Professional with extensive experience working with communities across the Gold Coast. His career has developed strong skills in leadership, project management, problem-solving, governance, planning and organisational decision-making — skills that are valuable in ensuring Shoreability is professionally managed and operates with a strong focus on quality and accountability.
As Director, Darren's role is focused on the leadership, management and ongoing development of Shoreability, ensuring the business has strong systems, sound management practices and a clear commitment to providing a high standard of service.
Darren works alongside Dee to bring together professional business leadership and more than 20 years of hands-on disability experience, creating a strong foundation for Shoreability.
Together, they are committed to building a service that is well-managed, trustworthy, person-centred and genuinely focused on the people and families it supports.
